Sheraton Fallsview Hotel & Conference Centre
This hotel is a member of the Gold Key Concierge collection.
They offer a wide variety of room types with two distinct views; one overlooking the city and one overlooking the falls. The hotel is close enough to walk to most of the activities, or cab service is available. They lack hotel shuttle service but that might change. This hotel has the ability to host large conferences giving the attendees and their families enough activities to keep busy. However this hotel doesn't have any areas set aside for children or children's activities. This hotel does have a world class golf course if you want to hit a few golf balls. I would highly recommend this hotel as the view was out of this world and their guest service was by far the best I have had. Check out the Property Inspection Form for extra information about this hotel.

Maid of the Mist
This is a classic must do while at Niagara Falls and for $14.00 Canadian a good value. You will get wet but they do provide you with those great blue rain covers. This offers some great photo opportunities of both the American and Canadian Falls. I would highly recommend this attraction.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours
This was by far the best activity I did while at Niagara Falls. You will get drenched so bring a change of clothes. I would suggest you buy a waterproof disposable camera as this offers some great photo opportunities. You will be experiencing some great class 5 rapids (1 - 6 scale) and will ride around the whirlpool. This attraction will take about an hour to complete and cost $54.00 Canadian. I would highly recommend this attraction. They have a clear glass covered boat so you can ride the rapids and not get wet. The first 3 photos are available for purchase when you finish your trip, and make great souvenirs.

Birds of The Lost Kingdom
This is a self paced tour through the bird aviary where you can spend hours admiring the over 300 tropical birds. There are three distinct areas. The first area is where the birds are caged. The second area is a nocturnal caged area. The third area is wide open space and you can get real close to the birds. You can get hands on with some of the birds which is great for photos.
The cost is $14.95 Canadian and I would recommend this attraction if you have kids or like viewing birds.

Oh Canada Eh?! Dinner Show
This dinner show is great. Your waitress or waiter are among the cast for the show. The food is top notch with a large selection served family style right to your table. The $49.95 Canadian covers your show and dinner including tip, but if you like the show and your service you can tip more. Your total time there will be about 2.5 hours. I would highly recommend this show because it is great for the whole family.

Skylon Tower
The Skylon Tower is a fabulous place to view the falls. The Tower also has two restaurants, one of which is a revolving. If you would just like to go to the observation deck there is a cost of $10.95 Canadian. This is a self paced event, so you can stay as long as you like. If you go at sunset, the view is to die for. Also, if you time your visit right you will have the best view for watching the fireworks go off over the falls. With that said I would have to say this is a recommended attraction.

Behind the Falls Tour
This is a classic tour to do when you visit Niagara Falls. The $11.00 Canadian cost covers a self paced tour behind the falls giving you some great photos and a vantage point that you wouldn't guess existed. You might get wet so bring a towel or rain suit or even a change of clothes. I would have to say this is a recommended attraction because it is great for all family members.

IMAX Theater Falls Movie Legends & Daredevils
Well for $13.50 Canadian you can learn about the history of Niagara Falls on a big screen. This screen isn't as big a most IMAX's that I have seen. The history lesson is something you have been told over and over again from different venues while at Niagara. However this does offer you a place to rest your feet if you are tired and relax for the hour long show. There are some replicas of famous crafts that have gone over the falls you can look at afterwards. Bang for the buck I would say pass this one by. You can check out there website for more information. |

Cirque Niagara Avaia
This show has only been available for 17 days, and it's a great show to see. There is something for every member of your family. There are 3 categories of seating available and I have been told, a meet and greet package is in the works. This show offers a great line of acrobatics and horsemanship that rivals those famous shows in Russia. This show sets up a classic circus theme with modern touches added. The show may be under the big top tent but offers climate controlled environments, modern restrooms, and circus style food. The seats are padded benches which for some might be a little uncomfortable. The show runs for a little over two hours with an intermission so you can stretch your legs, use the restrooms, or get a snack. I would have to say that I would recommend this show for the whole family to see. Be advised that there is NO PHOTOGRAPHY or VIDEO TAPING allowed and if caught you will be asked to leave and your media will be confiscated.

Niagara Helicopter Tours
This attraction offers the best views of Niagara Falls and if you want great overview photos than this is a must to do. However the entire trip is 9 minutes long and cost $110 Canadian. The pilot follows a set course with a prerecorded narrative. I think you could get by with the Skylon Tower and Whirlpool Jet Boats for adventure and still have funds left for other things. So bang for the buck I would have to say pass on this one.

Souvenir City
This is a great place to get all of your t-shirts and great souvenirs to remember your trip to Niagara Falls. While there you have to try some of the great chocolates and candies. They have a glass blowing studio with people who will make things for you as you watch them do it. Their prices are comparable to the surrounding shops. I would recommend buying all of your souvenirs here. They also have an online shop where you can purchase that souvenir you forgot to get when you get home. |
|
Casino
There are two distinct casinos here where you can try your luck to see if you can win lots of money or help them pay their electric bill.
